Khachatur Khachatryan Wins Bronze at the U23 European Freestyle Wrestling Championships (VIDEO)

Armenian wrestler Khachatur Khachatryan (125 kg) has won the bronze medal at the 2026 European U23 Freestyle Wrestling Championships.

In the bronze medal match, Khachatryan confidently defeated Belarusian wrestler Stepan Mandrik. The bout lasted only 40 seconds, as the Armenian heavyweight secured an early victory with a score of 10:0.

Thus, Khachatryan repeated last year’s result, once again finishing on the third step of the podium at the U23 European Championships.

This medal became the fourth for the Armenian national team at the 2026 European U23 Championships, which are being held in Zrenjanin, Serbia. Earlier, Armenian wrestlers had won one gold and two bronze medals. Levic Mikaelyan became the champion of the tournament.
