Khachanov Starts Barcelona Campaign with a Win

Karen Khachanov (ATP 27) made a strong start at the ATP 500 tournament in Barcelona, coming from behind to defeat Britain's Cameron Norrie (ATP 88) — 6:7 (3:7), 6:4, 6:3.

The match lasted over two hours and turned into a real challenge for the Russian player. After losing the first set in a tiebreak, Khachanov regrouped and took control in the next two sets. He was dominant on return (winning 46 return points compared to Norrie's 26) and converted 5 out of 12 break points.

In the round of 16, Khachanov will face Spain's Jaume Munar (ATP 57). The match is scheduled for Thursday, April 17.
