On May 30, the finals of the 2025 European Artistic Gymnastics Championships were held in Leipzig. In the rings final, Armenia was represented by two experienced gymnasts — Artur Avetisyan and Vahagn Davtyan.

Artur Avetisyan delivered a confident performance and earned the bronze medal with a score of 14.366. His routine was not highly difficult (difficulty score: 5.4), but he executed it flawlessly: his execution score of 8.966 was the highest among all finalists. This is Artur’s first medal at European or World Championships — he had previously finished fourth three times, just missing the podium.

Vahagn Davtyan, the 2022 European silver medalist, also made it to the final after a strong qualification. In the decisive round, the 36-year-old gymnast scored 14.166 points and finished seventh.

Two gymnasts shared the gold medal — Adem Asil (Turkey) and Eleftherios Petrounias (Greece), both scoring 14.400. No silver medal was awarded in this final.
