“Where is my handsome Edik?” Armenian grandfather moved Spertsyan before the match in Sochi

A touching moment involving Krasnodar captain and Armenia national team midfielder Eduard Spertsyan took place in Sochi ahead of the Russian Premier League Round 21 match between Sochi and Krasnodar.
Before the entrance to the hotel where the visiting team was staying, the footballer was greeted by an elderly Armenian fan. The grandfather was holding a banner that read:
“Edik jan, the Armenian Cultural Center ‘Sevan’ welcomes you. Edo, tsavt tanem.”
When he saw Spertsyan, the fan emotionally greeted him:
“My dear ones, where is my handsome Edik? Tsavt tanem, finally I’ve seen you.”
The footballer warmly responded to the meeting. He hugged the elderly supporter, spoke with him, took a photo together, and gave him an autograph. The touching moment was captured on video and later posted on social media, where it quickly attracted fans’ attention.
The Round 21 Russian Premier League match between Sochi and Krasnodar will take place on March 14 at 13:45 Moscow time. Before the game, Krasnodar leads the Russian championship standings, while Sochi is in last place.
