The Swiss national team continues to dominate the 2026 Olympic Games. In the men’s alpine skiing team combined event, Switzerland claimed its third gold medal, while for Franjo von Allmen this triumph marked his second gold of the Games — making him the first athlete to complete an Olympic “double” in Cortina.
Men’s Team Combined Results
1. Switzerland — Franjo von Allmen / Tanguy Nef — 2:44.04
2. Austria — Vincent Kriechmayr / Manuel Feller — 2:45.03 (+0.99)
2. Switzerland — Marco Odermatt / Loïc Meillard — 2:45.03 (+0.99)
An interesting detail: no bronze medal was awarded in this discipline. The Austrian and Swiss pairs recorded identical combined times across the two runs, resulting in a shared second place.
The competition unfolded dramatically. After the downhill leg, the Italian pair still had a chance to challenge for gold, but they were unable to make up the deficit in the slalom. In the decisive run, Franjo von Allmen and Tanguy Nef delivered a composed and error-free performance, securing a convincing victory.
It is also worth noting a historical fact: this marks the first tie on an Olympic alpine skiing podium since 2014, when two athletes shared gold in the women’s downhill event in Sochi.
Earlier today, Swiss skier Mathilde Gremaud also won a gold medal.
