Sunderland U21 advanced to the quarterfinals of the Premier League Cup after a dominant 6–1 victory over Nottingham Forest U21.
One of Sunderland’s goals was scored by Armenia U21 forward Finn Geragusyan.
The 18-year-old striker continues his impressive scoring streak, having found the net in three consecutive matches. Geragusyan first scored for the U18 side in the FA Youth Cup, then netted for the U21 team in a league match, and has now scored again for the U21s in the Premier League Cup.
The Armenian forward now has 9 goals in all competitions this season.
The convincing win secured Sunderland U21 a place in the quarterfinals, where the team will continue its fight for the trophy.
