The 37th International Christian Palusalu Memorial Wrestling Tournament continues in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. On Saturday, February 8, the final bouts in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling will take place. The Armenian national team is one of the largest delegations at the tournament and has already achieved notable results.

Greco-Roman Wrestling

Final: Suren Aghajanyan (Armenia) — Brian Santiago (Sweden)

63 kg
Final: Mayrbek Salimov (Poland) — Al-Bara Chopalaev (Estonia)
Armen Sukiasyan (Armenia) will compete for the bronze medal after losing in the semifinals to Mayrbek Salimov, 5:8.

Final: Slavik Galstyan (Armenia) — Yurik Hoveyan (Armenia)

Final: Gaspar Terteryan (Armenia) — Ashot Khachatryan (Armenia)

About the Tournament

The Christian Palusalu Memorial Tournament is being held in Tallinn from February 6 to 9. Wrestlers from 14 countries are participating, including Armenia, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Italy, Poland, and others.

According to the Estonian Wrestling Federation, the Armenian national team arrived with one of its strongest lineups. The team includes Olympic bronze medalist Malkhas Amoyan and four-time European champion Arsen Harutyunyan. For Armenian wrestlers, this tournament is the first international competition of 2026.

It should be recalled that on February 6, a Greco-Roman wrestling dual meet between the national teams of Armenia and Estonia took place as part of the tournament, with Armenia winning 6:1.
