Paris Judo Grand Slam 2026: Tournament Summary

On February 8, the first event of the 2026 Judo Grand Slam series concluded in Paris. Many of the world’s top judokas took part in the competition, with the Japanese national team winning the overall medal standings after claiming five gold medals.
Japan topped the national ranking with a total of 14 medals, including five golds. The French team finished second, earning three gold medals.
One of the key highlights of the tournament was the wide geographical spread of the winners. Athletes from eight different countries stood on the top step of the podium. Alongside Japan and France, gold medals were won by representatives of Azerbaijan, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, Brazil, Hungary, and Kosovo.
