Yegishe Mosesyan to fight for bronze at the U17 World Wrestling Championships

Armenian freestyle wrestler Yegishe Mosesyan (71 kg) delivered several impressive bouts at the 2025 U17 World Championships and earned the right to compete for a bronze medal.
In the round of 16, Mosesyan defeated Russia's Zubair Bagilov 8:3, and then overcame Turkey's Omer Gul 9:7.
In the semifinals, the Armenian wrestler faced American Jaydon James. Their bout was one of the most spectacular of the tournament. Mosesyan fought for victory until the very end but lost with an equal score of 5:5. James was awarded the win due to having the advantage in the final moments.
On August 3, Yegishe Mosesyan will fight for the bronze medal, with his opponent to be determined later.
