Eduard Vartanyan and Armen Gulyan Launch a New MMA Tournament in Armenia

A new mixed martial arts tournament will appear in Armenia. Well-known MMA fighters Eduard Vartanyan and Armen Gulyan have announced the launch of the ARMAT FIGHT SHOW, a next-generation Armenian combat sports league.
The first tournament will take place on April 18–19 in Yerevan. The competition aims to determine the strongest fighters in the country and give young athletes the opportunity to showcase themselves on a major stage.
According to the organizers, the league will unite the best representatives of Armenian MMA and become a platform for fighters ready to prove they deserve to compete at the professional level.
Tournament Format
The main event will be a Grand Prix of Armenia’s strongest fighters, held in a qualifying format across eight weight divisions. Each division will crown its own winner.
The tournament will consist of two stages:

Qualifying fights — amateur format

Final fights — professional bouts
The finals will take place on the same fight card alongside stars of Armenian MMA.
The total prize pool will exceed 15,000,000 AMD.
Prize distribution in each weight category:

1st place — 1,000,000 AMD

2nd place — 500,000 AMD
-
3rd place — 200,000 AMD

Lion Heart Academy
It is worth noting that since 2025, the Lion Heart Academy of Martial Arts has been operating in Armenia, where Armen Gulyan serves as the head coach. The new tournament will become another step in the development of Armenian MMA and in building a system to discover and promote talented fighters.
