Eduard Spertsyan enters global ranking of goal contributions led by Messi

Armenia national team captain and Krasnodar midfielder Eduard Spertsyan has been included in the ranking of players with the highest number of goal contributions over the past year, compiled by the CIES Football Observatory.
CIES Football Observatory analyzed statistics of players from 67 leagues worldwide over the past 12 months to determine which footballers recorded the most goals and assists in domestic league matches during the last 365 days.
Spertsyan’s position
The Armenian midfielder ranked:

30 goal contributions — 14 goals and 16 assists
Spertsyan also ranks highly in the special Index metric, which takes into account the level of matches and leagues.
According to this indicator, he placed 16th among all players included in the list.
The Index measures a player's contribution (goals and assists) weighted by the sporting coefficient of the matches in which those contributions were made.
Who leads the ranking
The list is topped by Lionel Messi, who recorded 59 goal contributions over the last 12 months
(37 goals and 22 assists).

In La Liga he recorded 29 goal contributions (18 goals and 11 assists).
The oldest players in the ranking are:

Best result among Russian Premier League players
Spertsyan’s inclusion in the ranking confirms his high productivity: the Armenia national team captain is one of the most effective attacking midfielders in the Russian Premier League in terms of goal contributions over the past year.
Spertsyan was the only RPL representative in this ranking.
