Armenian national fencing team representative Darya Malysheva became a bronze medalist at the U23 European Cup held in Prague.
In the foil discipline, Malysheva performed confidently in the group stage, securing five victories and successfully advancing to the playoffs. In the elimination rounds, she consecutively defeated two representatives from Germany as well as an athlete from the Czech Republic.
In the semifinal, the Armenian fencer lost to the eventual tournament winner, Giorgia Rute of Italy, finishing her performance with a bronze medal.
This result marks a significant achievement for Armenian fencing on the international stage.
Darya Malysheva has represented Armenia since 2024. Previously, the athlete also attempted to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games.
