Red Star secured a convincing victory over Napredak in the 26th round of the Serbian championship. The match ended in a 4–0 rout.
Dejan Stanković’s team continues to confidently lead the Serbian SuperLiga standings. After this win, the Belgrade club is now 10 points ahead of their main rival, Partizan.
Armenia national team defender Nair Tiknizyan started the match and spent 65 minutes on the field. According to the statistical portal SofaScore, his performance was rated 6.5.
Tiknizyan was active both in defense and in attack. In one episode, his cross created a dangerous chance for Aleksandar Katai, who could have made the score 5–0.
The Armenian defender was also involved in another tense moment. After his back pass in his own half, the Red Star goalkeeper had to handle the ball, which resulted in an indirect free kick inside the penalty area. However, Napredak’s players failed to take advantage of the opportunity.
It is worth noting that before this match Tiknizyan had already recorded a scoring contribution — the defender scored his first goal for Red Star in a Serbian Cup match.
