A refereeing team from Montenegro and Croatia has been appointed for the second leg of the UEFA Conference League Round of 32 clash between Armenia’s Noah and the Netherlands’ AZ Alkmaar. The match will take place on February 26 in Alkmaar and will kick off at 00:00 Yerevan time.
Montenegrin referee Nikola Dabanović has been appointed as the main official.
He will be assisted by:
-
Assistant referees — Vladan Todorović and Srđan Jovanović (both Montenegro);
-
VAR referee — Ivan Bebek (Croatia);
-
Assistant VAR — Mario Zebec (Croatia);
-
Fourth official — Miloš Bošković (Montenegro).
The UEFA delegate for the match is Fróði Danielsen (Faroe Islands), while the referee observer is Mikael Argyrou (Cyprus).
This season, Nikola Dabanović has officiated four Europa League matches and one Champions League match, as well as domestic league games in Montenegro and Saudi Arabia. He also refereed Russia’s international friendlies against Iran and Bolivia.
Notably, Dabanović has not issued a direct red card this season: the only dismissal came after two yellow cards. He has also awarded just three penalties in 24 matches — a relatively low figure.
The first match in Yerevan ended in a 1–0 victory for Noah thanks to a goal from Hovhannes Hambardzumyan. The outcome of the tie will be decided in the return leg.
