Yerevan's Pyunik has officially announced the departure of Brazilian defender Juninho. The 30-year-old footballer had been with the club since July 2021, playing 122 matches and scoring 9 goals along with 9 assists.
With Pyunik, Juninho became a two-time Armenian champion in the 2021/22 and 2023/24 seasons. The club's fans will long remember his spectacular goals in European competitions, including the strike against Luxembourg's Dudelange in the second qualifying round of the 2022 Champions League and his accurate finish against Lithuania's Žalgiris in the Conference League group stage.
The Pyunik management and fans thanked the Brazilian for his loyalty to the club and wished him success in his future career.
