AZ beat Sparta ahead of return leg against Noah

AZ secured a confident 3–1 victory over Sparta in the Eredivisie, successfully preparing for the return leg against Noah in the UEFA Conference League.

Troy Parrott, Sven Mijnans and Kees Smit found the net for the hosts, giving the team a comfortable advantage.

Special attention goes to the debut of 20-year-old defender Billy van Duijl, who made his first Eredivisie appearance. He is expected to replace the suspended Wouter Goes in the upcoming match against Noah.

It should be recalled that in the first leg of the UEFA Conference League Round of 32 in Yerevan, Noah defeated AZ 1–0. The return match will take place in Alkmaar on February 26.
