Hasmik Avagyan Assesses the Preparation of Armenia’s National Wrestling Teams in Tsaghkadzor

Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Armenia Hasmik Avagyan visited the main sports complex in Tsaghkadzor, where training camps for the national freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling teams are currently underway.
During the visit, accompanied by the Secretary General of the Armenian Wrestling Federation Araik Baghdadyan, Avagyan toured the training halls, reviewed the living and training conditions, and spoke with coaches and athletes. Special attention was given to preparations for upcoming international tournaments.
The Armenian teams are actively preparing for an intense competitive season. On February 6–8, the national team and the U23 team will take part in an international tournament in Tallinn, Estonia. This will be followed by the European U23 Championship in Serbia in early March, and the senior European Championship in Albania in April.
Hasmik Avagyan emphasized the importance of a systematic approach to preparation, praised the professionalism of the athletes and coaching staff, and expressed confidence that Armenian wrestlers will perform with distinction on the international stage.
“Determination, discipline, and continuous hard work are the keys to success. I am confident that our national teams will достойно represent Armenia at the major competitions of the year,” she noted.
