Armenia U21 national team forward Artur Garibyan has left Spartak Kostroma ahead of schedule and returned to Rodina. The clubs agreed to terminate the loan deal early.

The 19-year-old striker (191 cm tall) made 16 appearances for the Kostroma side, scoring 5 goals and providing 2 assists. Garibyan was one of the standout players for the Red-Whites in the first part of the season and regularly featured in the starting lineup.

However, in the second half of the championship, Spartak Kostroma’s coaching staff plans to rely on a more experienced striker — Amur Kalmykov, who joined from Arsenal Tula.

Garibyan is expected to continue the season with Rodina-2, which competes in the Second Division. At the same time, he will also be available for Rodina’s main squad, which plays in the First League. Nevertheless, competition for the central striker position there is quite strong, with five players already available in that role.

It is worth recalling that in winter Garibyan was not allowed to go on trial at Baltika, so that he could continue developing at Spartak Kostroma on loan, but ultimately the situation did not turn out well for the player.

In any case, he is still young and will certainly get his chance in the future.
