Armenian gymnast Artur Davtyan confidently qualified for the vault final at the 2026 Artistic Gymnastics World Cup stage, taking place in Cairo. Davtyan achieved the best result in qualification and advanced to the निर्णative stage of the competition from first place.
Earlier, Davtyan also successfully passed qualification in the rings exercise, securing himself a spot in another final.
Thus, representatives of Armenia reached the finals in all three disciplines in which they competed at this stage.
In the finals, Armenia will be represented by:
- Hamlet Manukyan and Mamikon Khachatryan — pommel horse (April 5)
- Artur Avetisyan and Artur Davtyan — rings (April 5)
- Artur Davtyan — vault (April 6)
It should be noted that earlier Armenian gymnasts competed only at the stage in Cottbus, where Artur Avetisyan won a gold medal and Mamikon Khachatryan became a silver medalist. The team skipped the stages in Baku and Antalya, while the competition in Doha was canceled.
As a result, the battle for overall victories in individual events has become more complicated, but chances for a strong result remain.
After the Cairo stage, Armenian gymnasts will take part in the final World Cup stage in Osijek, which will be held from April 9 to 12.
