Armenian gymnast Artur Davtyan won the silver medal in the vault at the 2025 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships held in Jakarta.

In the final, the 33-year-old athlete performed two impressive vaults, scoring 14.800 and 14.866. Davtyan’s average score was 14.833, narrowly behind Olympic champion Carlos Yulo of the Philippines, who scored 14.866. Despite cleaner execution, Yulo gained an advantage due to higher difficulty elements.

At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Yulo also took gold while Davtyan earned silver.

Vault Final Results:

  1. Carlos Yulo (Philippines) — 14.866

  2. Artur Davtyan (Armenia) — 14.833

  3. Nazar Chepurnyi (Ukraine) — 14.483

  4. Tommaso Brugnami (Italy) — 14.466

  5. Mingqi Huang (China) — 14.416

  6. Mukhammadjon Yakubov (Russia) — 14.183

  7. Daniel Marinov (Russia) — 14.150

  8. Kazuki Minami (Japan) — 13.749

This is Armenia’s second silver medal at the World Championships. Earlier, 18-year-old Mamikon Khachatryan claimed silver on the pommel horse, once again proving the high level of the Armenian gymnastics school.
