Arthur Asoyan — Silver Medalist at the 2026 IMMAF European MMA Championship

21-year-old Armenian fighter Arthur Asoyan (56.7 kg division) claimed the silver medal at the 2026 European MMA Championship held under the auspices of the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF).

The continental tournament took place in Belgrade, where Asoyan demonstrated a high level of preparation and strong fighting spirit.

Road to the Final

On his way to the decisive bout, the Armenian athlete secured two convincing victories over Ukrainian opponents:

• The first by judges’ decision,

• The second by an impressive knockout.

In the final, Asoyan faced France’s Thibault De Marinis. After a competitive contest, the judges awarded the victory to the French fighter, earning the Armenian athlete the silver medal of the European Championship.

Notably, Asoyan was Armenia’s only senior representative at the tournament, yet he succeeded in bringing home a prestigious European medal.

Previously, Arthur Asoyan also reached the world podium as a bronze medalist at the World Championship, confirming his consistency and high potential on the international stage.
