On March 28 in Yerevan, an unusual bout took place at the HYPE FC event under freestyle wrestling rules, where Armenian wrestler Arsen Harutyunyan faced MMA fighter Bagdat Zhubanysh inside the octagon.

From the very beginning, Harutyunyan demonstrated a clear class advantage, confidently controlling the match and dominating in all aspects of wrestling. The four-time European champion imposed a high pace, executed successful takedowns, and left his opponent with no chances to respond. As a result, the bout ended in a dominant points victory for the Armenian athlete.

For Arsen Harutyunyan, this fight marked his debut in a fighting show format, as well as his first performance in front of a large home crowd. Armenian fans warmly supported the decorated wrestler, who lived up to expectations and confidently introduced himself in a new format.

After the fight, Bagdat Zhubanysh expressed his desire for a rematch and challenged Harutyunyan to another bout — this time under grappling rules. It remains unclear whether the Armenian wrestler will accept the challenge, but the potential clash has already generated interest among fans.
