Armenian sambist Karen Sargsyan wins gold at the “Founders of Sambo Cup 2026”

Armenian athlete Karen Sargsyan (58 kg weight category) became the winner of the international tournament “Founders of Sambo Cup 2026,” held in Moscow.

A few days earlier, Sargsyan confidently won the 2026 Armenian Championship, after which he traveled to the Russian capital, where he once again confirmed his high level of preparation. During the tournament, he secured a series of convincing victories over strong Russian sambists and climbed to the top step of the podium.

Another winner of the tournament was Vaghram Sargsyan (71 kg), representing Russia.
