Armenian judokas finish their performances at the European Cup in Antalya: full results

The Armenian cadet national team competed at the Antalya "Millennium Team" Cadet European Cup 2026 judo tournament for athletes under 17 held in Antalya, Turkey.
In total, 12 Armenian judokas took part in the competition, which is relatively small by the standards of this tournament. For comparison, Georgia fielded 91 athletes, Kyrgyzstan had 72 competitors, Brazil — 55, and Kazakhstan — 47.
Armenian judokas finished the tournament without winning medals. The closest to a podium finish was Arsen Zakaryan (55 kg), who recorded three victories and finished in 7th place.

Armen Matevosyan
Defeated an opponent from Turkey in the first bout, then lost to a judoka from Azerbaijan.
Ernest Musaelyan
Started the tournament with a victory over a Georgian athlete, then lost to a Russian opponent. In the repechage round he lost to a representative of Turkey.
55 kg
Arman Santuryan
Won his first bout against a Kyrgyz athlete, then lost to a representative of Mongolia.
Aram Nikoghosyan
Defeated a Belarusian judoka in the first bout, then lost to a Finnish opponent.
Arsen Zakaryan — 7th place
Started with a victory over a Georgian opponent, then lost to another Georgian judoka. In the repechage he defeated athletes from Turkey and Moldova, but lost to a Kazakh competitor in the decisive bout and finished 7th overall.

Lost to a Kyrgyz opponent in his first bout.
Narek Naapetyan
Started the tournament with a victory over a Turkish judoka, then lost to a Bulgarian athlete.

Sergey Gevorgyan
Began with a win against a Kyrgyz athlete, then lost to a Georgian competitor.

Defeated a Georgian opponent in the first bout, then lost to an athlete from Brazil.

This tournament became the first international competition for Armenian judo in 2026. Starting March 20, the Armenian senior national team — consisting of four athletes — will compete at the Tbilisi Grand Slam.
