Armenia Awaits Opponent: Latvia Defeats Gibraltar in First Match

In the first UEFA Nations League playoff match, Armenia’s future opponent, the Latvia national team, defeated Gibraltar 1-0. The only goal came from a penalty scored by Vladislav Gutkovski in the 63rd minute.

The return match will take place on March 31 in Riga, where the winner of the tie will be determined.

The winner of this pairing will join Armenia in Group C2 of the next Nations League edition, which begins in September 2026. Montenegro and Cyprus will also compete in the group.
