Armen “Superman” Petrosyan has officially returned to the Fight Nights league, where he previously became champion. The former UFC fighter will continue his career in the light heavyweight division (up to 93 kg / 205 lbs) and take part in a Grand Prix with a $1 million prize fund.
Petrosyan emphasized that the move to 93 kg marks a return to his natural and most successful weight class.
“I’m not a washed-up fighter — I’m still young and fresh. Everyone has ups and downs. I’m ready for another rise. 93 kg is my home, my championship weight, where I will show everything I’m capable of,” Armen stated.
Petrosyan (9-6) will face Mikhail Kolobegov (15-8) in the opening round of the Grand Prix.
Since leaving the UFC, Armen has had two MMA bouts: he defeated Igor Svirid and then lost to Vladislav Kovalev. Now, “Superman” aims to relaunch his career and make a statement once again in the league where he previously achieved championship success.
