Arman Tsarukyan Submits Muhammad Mokaev at HYPE Brazil (VIDEO)

Armenian UFC fighter Arman Tsarukyan competed in another grappling match and secured a convincing victory. At the HYPE Brazil event in Rio de Janeiro, Tsarukyan submitted fellow UFC fighter Muhammad Mokaev with a choke.

Despite competing in different weight classes — lightweight Tsarukyan versus flyweight Mokaev — the match turned out to be intense and entertaining. Arman fought aggressively as expected, constantly attacking and eventually securing the submission in the seventh minute of the bout.

The match was held under submission-only rules and was scheduled for 10 minutes.

After the victory, Tsarukyan received the HYPE FC championship belt and immediately called out Charles Oliveira to defend the title at the next HYPE event in São Paulo.

Interestingly, their fight could also take place in the UFC, potentially for the BMF belt. However, fans may get a chance to see them face off in a grappling format before that.

It should also be noted that on March 28 in Florida, Tsarukyan will have another bout. At RAF 07, he will face Giorgio Poullas in a freestyle wrestling rematch.
