UFC fighter Arman Tsarukyan attended a meeting with an Armenian youth football team in Glendale, California. The renowned athlete spoke with young players and their parents, gave the children unforgettable emotions, took part in a friendly sprint race, and also took a penalty kick.
A special highlight of the event was an unusual gift — a duckling presented to Tsarukyan as a humorous reference to Ilia Topuria, who is avoiding a fight with the Armenian fighter. The gesture brought smiles to everyone present and added a relaxed, informal atmosphere to the meeting.
As a reminder, on January 10 in Florida, Arman Tsarukyan competed in a freestyle wrestling match at the RAF 5 tournament, where he defeated Lance Palmer. After that, the Armenian fighter remained in the United States to attend UFC 324 on January 24. At the event, Paddy Pimblett and Justin Gaethje will fight for the interim lightweight title — the division in which Tsarukyan currently holds the No. 1 ranking.
The visit to Glendale once again confirmed Arman Tsarukyan’s close connection with the Armenian diaspora and his commitment to supporting youth sports development.
