Armenian UFC fighter Arman Tsarukyan (23–3) will have his next fight on April 8 at the HYPE FC Brazil event in São Paulo. His opponent will be Dillon Danis.
The fighters will compete for the league’s championship belt, which Tsarukyan previously won by defeating Muhammad Mokaev at a Hype FC event in Rio de Janeiro.
The bout will be held under grappling rules in a submission-only format, meaning victory can only be achieved via submission.
Prior to this, both athletes competed at the RAF 07 freestyle wrestling event in Florida on March 29. Tsarukyan defeated Giorgio Poullas, while Danis lost to Colby Covington.
Dillon Danis is a high-level Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist with strong grappling skills. He also competes in a heavier weight class—typically middleweight—giving him a size advantage over Tsarukyan.
Interestingly, Danis has Armenian roots on his father’s side, while his mother is from Honduras. He was born and raised in New Jersey and is a two-time U.S. Brazilian jiu-jitsu champion. Danis is also known for his friendship with Conor McGregor, who supported him before RAF 07 by posting a photo with the Armenian flag and captioning it: “New York City's Armenian Tank”.

The Tsarukyan vs. Danis bout will headline the HYPE FC event in São Paulo.
