Armenian UFC fighter Arman Tsarukyan commented on the incident that occurred after his match at the RAF 06 tournament in Arizona. In a conversation with Kamil Gadzhiev, the athlete explained what caused the conflict with Giorgio Poullas.
According to Tsarukyan, his opponent fought dirty throughout the entire bout.
“Poullas was fighting dirty the whole match. He was twisting my fingers, poking me in the eyes. I endured it the entire time and thought — once the match ends, I’ll hit him. The match ended — I struck him, and that’s when it all started,” Gadzhiev quoted Tsarukyan as saying.

It should be recalled that at RAF 06, Tsarukyan defeated Pullas in a freestyle wrestling bout with a score of 5:3. However, immediately after the final whistle, Arman punched his opponent, which provoked a mass brawl involving members of both teams.
Kamil Gadzhiev also spoke about the possible consequences of the incident.
“What the consequences will be is a question. At the moment, nothing criminal has occurred. On the one hand, it negatively affects the league’s reputation, but on the other hand, because of this, we are all discussing this tournament. So there may be some positives in this situation. Arman himself feels great,” Gadzhiev noted.
The RAF league has not yet issued an official decision regarding the incident. The tournament organizers are expected to assess the actions of the participants in the conflict in the near future.
