At the landmark ACA 200 event held in Moscow, Anatoly Kondratyev (13-4) secured a dominant victory over reigning champion Azamat Pshukov (14-4), finishing the fight via technical knockout in the first round. This win earned Kondratyev the ACA flyweight championship belt.
Immediately after the bout, the new champion faced off with Armenian fighter Aren Akopyan. That staredown served as clear confirmation that Hakobyan will be the next title challenger.
As a result, in his next fight Aren Akopyan (19-3-1), who is riding an impressive seven-fight winning streak, will get the opportunity to compete for the ACA flyweight title.
A curious statistical fact also stands out: since 2015, Anatoly Kondratyev has suffered only three losses — all of them at the hands of Armenian fighters. Over the years, he was defeated by Vartan Asatryan, Moris Boleyan, and Aren Akopyan himself, who beat Kondratyev in their first head-to-head bout in 2023.
Now Kondratyev has the chance to avenge that loss as the reigning champion, while Hakobyan looks to reaffirm his dominance and capture the title.
