Ararat-Armenia Drop Points After Season Restart: Alashkert Close the Gap

The restart of the Armenian championship began with an unexpected result for the league leaders. In the very first round after the winter break, Ararat-Armenia dropped points, losing 0–1 to Alashkert.
The only goal of the match was scored in the 52nd minute. The scorer was Momo Touré, for whom it was already his eighth goal of the current season.
Thanks to this victory, Alashkert moved up to second place in the Armenian Premier League standings and closed the gap to the leaders. The difference between the teams is now just two points, significantly intensifying the battle for the title.
At the same time, the intrigue at the top of the table is becoming even tighter. Urartu, Pyunik, and Noah are also close to the leaders and continue to fight for the highest positions.
Thus, after the restart of the season, the title race in the Armenian Premier League promises to remain intense until the very end.
