Ararat-Armenia defeated Pyunik and returned to the top of the table

In the центральный match of the 21st round of the Armenian Premier League, Ararat-Armenia secured an important victory over Pyunik and climbed back to first place in the standings.

The match, played in a tense battle, ended 2–0 in favor of the visitors.

Manuel Tulipa’s team opened the scoring in the first half: in the 24th minute, Juan Balanta confidently converted a penalty.

Despite active attempts from the hosts to equalize, Ararat-Armenia managed to hold onto their lead and sealed the win late in the game.

In stoppage time (90+3), Hugo Oliveira scored the second goal against Pyunik, putting the result beyond doubt.

This result allowed Ararat-Armenia to reach 42 points after 20 matches and catch up with leaders Urartu. Due to better tiebreakers, the team moved to first place.

Pyunik, with one game in hand, dropped to third place with 41 points.
