Armenian MMA veteran Araik Margarian (28-15) claimed a dominant victory at Hexagone MMA 40, held on February 28 in Aix-en-Provence, France. The 37-year-old fighter finished Italy’s Valentino Riva (6-4) with a submission choke in the second round.
The bout was controlled by the experienced Margarian, who effectively used his advantage on the ground. In the second round, the Armenian athlete secured a favorable position and ended the fight with a chokehold, leaving his opponent no chance to escape.
Despite being 37 years old — a considerable age by MMA standards — Margarian continues to compete actively and demonstrate a high level of preparation, confirming his status as one of the most experienced Armenian fighters on the European scene.
Araik has been competing professionally in MMA since 2009. He has spent most of his career in French leagues, where he won championship titles in the 100% Fight and Octofight organizations.
