Anush Grigoryan Reaches the Semifinals of the 2026 Strandja Cup and Secures a Bronze Medal

Armenian boxer Anush Grigoryan (51 kg) has advanced to the semifinals of the prestigious international boxing tournament, the 2026 Strandja Cup, which is considered the oldest tournament in the sport.
In the quarterfinal, Grigoryan confidently defeated Nina Radovanovic (Serbia) by unanimous decision. With this victory, the Armenian athlete has secured at least a bronze medal at the tournament.
In the semifinal, Anush Grigoryan will face Bulgaria’s Zlatislava Chukanova. The bout is scheduled for February 28.
Earlier in the tournament, Grigoryan also defeated an athlete from Italy. She became the first representative of Armenia to reach the semifinals of the Strandja Cup.
In addition to Anush Grigoryan, four more Armenian boxers remain in contention:
50 kg — Rudolf Garboyan
65 kg — Artur Sahakyan
70 kg — Harutyun Akopkokhyan
75 kg — Marat Mikaelyan
The competition will continue until March 1.
