Aleksandra Grigoryan and Tigran Karapetyan — Best Weightlifters at the 2025 European Youth Championships

The Armenian national team delivered an outstanding performance at the 2025 European Junior Weightlifting Championships (U20 and U23), which concluded on November 4 in Durres, Albania. Based on the final results, Armenia's Aleksandra Grigoryan and Tigran Karapetyan were recognized as the best athletes in the U20 category.
The U20 winners were determined using the Robi Points system, which evaluates the lifted weight relative to the world record in the corresponding weight class.

In the U23 category, the winners were determined using the Sinclair system, which accounts for the athlete’s body weight. In the women’s division, Armenian lifters did not finish among the leaders, but in the men’s division, Gor Sahakyan (71 kg) earned bronze with 448.99, while Garik Karapetyan (110 kg) placed fourth with 441.75.
