7 New Footballers Called Up to BKMA for Military Service

Seven Armenian footballers have been called up to BKMA to complete their military service. Unlike previous drafts, their service period will last 1.5 years instead of two, following the reduction of mandatory military service in Armenia.
The following players were selected to receive a deferment and continue their professional careers:
Artem Davydov (goalkeeper, Noah)
— First-choice goalkeeper for Noah-2 in the Armenian First League.
— Played two of Armenia U19’s three official matches in October 2025.
Arman Isayan (centre-back, Urartu)
— 4 caps for Armenia U19.
— 13 matches and 3 goals this season for Urartu-2; 18 matches and 3 goals last season.
— Graduate of the Avan Academy.
David Harutyunyan (winger / attacking midfielder, Urartu)
— One of the most talented players of his generation in Armenia.
— 11 caps for Armenia U19; also 11 matches and 4 goals for Armenia U17 and U16.
— Made his senior debut at 16. Has played 27 matches and provided 2 assists for Urartu’s first team, including 5 appearances in European competitions.
— Scored 19 goals in the First League.
Aram Barkhudaryan (full-back, Ararat-Armenia)
— 6 friendly matches for Armenia U19.
— Avan Academy graduate; previously played for BKMA.
— 17 matches and 1 goal this season in the First League.
Gagik Hovhannisyan (central midfielder, Shirak)
— 4 caps for Armenia U19.
— Made his Armenian Premier League debut with two substitute appearances.
— Three full seasons in the First League: 3 goals in 63 matches.
— Defensive-minded midfielder.
Artak Galstyan (midfielder, Pyunik)
— 4 friendly matches for Armenia U19.
— 13 matches and 1 goal this season in the First League.
Sedrak Movsisyan (central midfielder, Pyunik)
— 6 caps for Armenia U19.
— 11 matches this season in the First League; 21 matches and 3 goals last season.
These players are viewed as key members of Armenia’s U19 and U21 national teams in the coming years. They have been given the opportunity to continue their professional careers during their military service.
At the beginning of 2026, Vyacheslav Afyan (Pyunik), Mark Avetisyan (Pyunik), Levon Bashoyan (Urartu), Suren Tsarukyan (Shirak), Narek Janoyan (Shirak) and Garnik Minasyan (Urartu) returned to their clubs after completing service at BKMA.
